My Fitness Journey
I restarted my fitness journey when my daughter started school full time.
I am what you call a fitness enthusiast! Being back at the gym meant training at least 5 times a week and quite often two gym visits in one day!
The gym soon became my second home. Classes are what I love the most! I enjoy a variety, from strength training, conditioning, kettlebells and HIIT – for my cardio burst!
When Covid struck and the gyms closed, my heart sunk, as the gym was such a massive part of my life. That’s when I discovered online training!
I subscribed to an online group and I can honestly say I haven’t looked back.
Every workout is different from weights, HIIT, cardio, upper body, lower body and of course those abs! Whatever mood you are in, whether you are feeling full of energy or just want to tone and strengthen there is a workout there for you!
The benefits of online training by far weigh out the negatives – well for me anyway!
• No travelling time
• Low cost – no expensive equipment or clothing
• Privacy – to lots of people this is important
• At a pace that suits you – no pressure
• Support – from the online group
• Kids? – no babysitting needed – in fact get them joining in!
• Variety – wide range of different exercises
For me online training works, I have the motivation and dedication to workout every day – I have even been known to wake at “silly o’clock” so I can get that workout in!
But you don’t have to be a fanatic like me, I’m a great believer of starting off with small realistic goals, that way you are less likely to quit, but as you start to get fitter and stronger I guarantee that it will soon become a habit – and let’s face it, its not a bad habit to have!
Check out my blog next month where I will be writing about the workouts I do and the benefits.
Hope you have enjoyed reading!
