Ease your way into 2022

Ease your way into 2022

A huge mistake people make with new year resolutions is they go all guns blazing for the first couple of weeks in Jan! Studies show 54% of people will have given up on their resolutions within 6 months. The results of a yougov poll found the most common resolutions included; losing weight (35%), to get fitter (33%) and to eat more healthily (31%).

To be successful in your resolutions this year, here are a few tips to follow.

To start make your goals achievable and realistic. If you are someone who has typically gone all in on 1st Jan and given up soon after –  you will likely find you will do the same again.

Why not try making a new goal each week, e.g. this week I will exercise 3 times. Then you can decide whether to continue in the same way or adjust it the next week.

Don’t use up all your motivation in one go, spread it out over a longer period so that you feel excited to get to the next week.

One big problem with making a bunch of resolutions is that you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself.

Instead of losing 5 pounds in a month, focus on tracking your food and water intake  everyday.

Instead of wanting to fit in those jeans again, focus on exercising for 30 minutes a day.

Changing your habits can take time, be patient with yourself.

Focus on enjoying the journey, rather than the result and you’ll be much more likely to succeed.

Good luck in your journeys !!
